A group of Black Travel and Hospitality professionals joined together to launch a non-profit in January 2021. At UViTH, our aim is to Unite, Empower, and Uplift Black Voices within Travel & Hospitality to create an equitable tomorrow. We are building a community with a unified purpose and passion to change the future of travel and hospitality through initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion, join us!

Co-Founder & President
Travel goddess and travel industry guru Nik Morales, specializes in managing the day to day movements of entertainment industry professionals (touring, production and corporate) and creating once in a lifetime experiences for discerning individuals. She is renowned for her hands on, out of the box approach and her effortless ability to connect with clients. She exhibits unparalleled creativity and passion in her devotion to create unique and tailored travel experiences.
With over twenty years of travel management experience Nik Morales has worked for some of the most successful travel companies in the world (American Express, BCD, Music by Appointment, Stage & Screen) and has now started her own company to bring a more personal approach to travel management services.

Nicole’s shared passion for community, diversity, and inclusion within the travel and hospitality industry prompted her to take action. Following two decades of professionalism and contribution to the travel & hospitality sector, she realized she could use her background and expertise to make a difference, for a more diverse and inclusive tomorrow. She’s excited to utilize her skills and expertise to support, uplift, and empower Black Travel Professionals for a better tomorrow.

Mina Shafiee has been working in the hospitality industry for over a decade with major companies such as Tzell/Travel Leaders, BCD Travel, and FlightCentre. She was founding President of the YTP (Young Travel Professional) Los Angeles chapter, a graduate of Georgetown’s Global Hospitality Leadership Masters program, and founder of Fernweh, the wandering bier garten. She has been honored as Travel Agent Central 30 under 30 for 2017. Her passion is to connect people through travel and hospitality.

Born and raised in Texas and the University of Texas at Austin alum, Alexandra relocated to Los Angeles in 2011. Joining Inluxuria (a private member Luxury Travel/Concierge firm) in 2012 after formerly working in talent management and branded entertainment, she has delivered creative and complex solutions for elite clientele worldwide as their Director of Luxury Travel. Alexandra recently launched her own creative consultancy, Ten Lens Studio, which creates content and copy for the luxury lifestyle industry. She is passionate about conscious tourism, diversity within the travel industry, and helping her clients design the journey of their dreams. When not globe-trotting, Alexandra enjoys writing, painting, hiking, and is currently learning to surf!

Naledi K. Khabo is a corporate strategy leader with over 25 years’ experience within Operations, Marketing & Technology. Having developed and implemented countless of global innovative multimedia brand initiatives, she possesses a rare combination of exceptional business and technology acumen and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for practical business applications.
Naledi currently serves as Chief Executive at the Africa Tourism Association (ATA), a global trade association promoting travel and tourism to Africa and strengthening intra-Africa partnerships. ATA serves both the public and private sectors of the international travel and tourism industry. Naledi is passionate about the intersection of marketing and emerging technologies and is excited about this intersection and great opportunities within the tourism sector. Her diverse background lends a fresh perspective to ATA’s approach to promoting tourism to and within Africa.
During her tenure at ATA, Naledi has led the organization through significant operational changes including a complete re-branding of the organization and launching several new digital platforms to serve the hospitality and tourism industry, including 'thexchange.africa' which was recently launched in response to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the hospitality, tourism, and meetings industry.

Tiffany Layne is the Founder & CEO of LaVon Travel & Lifestyle – a luxury travel consultancy. A passionate and experiential traveler herself, she has been fortunate to explore the world, while building indispensable relationships along the way. Tiffany is an avid believer that travel isn’t just a trip but a lifestyle - one filled with extraordinary experiences that enrich, transform and imprint lasting memories. She is an honored member of Virtuoso’s ULTRALUXE community, an invitation-only group of exquisite travel professionals with proven success catering to discerning travelers. With a career spanning over 15 years in the luxury lifestyle space, Tiffany works with savvy clients who demand high touch service, value their travel investments and desire a personal touch. She believes that the power of personal connection will always deliver the greatest value, strongest relationships and best experiences for clients to maximize return on their most non-renewable asset – their leisure time.
As a proud woman and black owned travel company, serving a diverse group of clientele across the globe. Tiffany remains dedicated to being a champion for the much needed reform, recognition and equality of representation with the luxury travel and hospitality space. She actively commits to developing professional partnerships with brands, suppliers and tourism boards whom publicly and fearlessly maintain an on-going voice in support diversity and inclusion as part of their shared core values.

Wazha has born while his family was traveling and hasn't stopped since! An expat from Botswana and America, Wazha had the privilege to grow up around the world across 4 continents before 'settling' in NYC. A graduate of the Hospitality & Management school at Hawaii Pacific University, Wazha has always tried to do things a little bit differently and upon graduating, Wazha returned to NYC to work in tour operations for luxury tour operators creating and promoting some of the world most exclusive travel experiences. More than 12 years later, Wazha has worked in representation, marketing, and sales with some of the world best minds in travel & hospitality and now manages Africa Collection at Index Select, working with some of his favorite properties and tour companies on the continent and strives to educate consultants and anyone who will listen about all the wonders that lie await those wishing to visit Africa.
Living by the Kalanga proverb, 'To Travel is to See', Wazha is always on the lookout for his next adventure with some of his favorite experiences being trekking Wild Dogs in Botswana, canoeing down the mighty Zambezi River, backpacking through China, fishing for piranha in the Amazon, drinking whiskey on top of a glacier in New Zealand and of course, going on out with his favorite safari guides and soaking in all their knowledge!

Born and raised in the Chicagoland Area, Kristyn Toney is a natural-born leader. She began winging it behind the bar for A-list celebrities in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills and soon earned her place as a top mixologist in Southern California. Coupling her extensive hospitality training with the ability to genuinely connect with others, Kristyn hopes to help other Black professionals navigate their careers in the luxury industry and beyond. Outside of tending bar, Kristyn spends her time traveling around the world savoring the best cocktails and chatting it up with locals.
